Designs in steel
If you are looking for a unique feature for your business or home then i can help you. From steel and glass walls, screens and doors, to tables, mirrors and lighting, my designs can be adapted to fit most environments and budgets, interior and exterior. Here are some examples of recent completed works
El Bulo Social Club, Poço Do Bispo, Lisboa
I am proud to have been involved in creation of the exciting new venture by the chef Chakall, designing and creating the steelwork features for his innovative new restaurant and event space in Poço Do Bispo, Lisbon. Housed in a large industrial warehouse building with existing features and character the designs i made for a steel and glass wall (above) and additional architectural features, art and signage reflect the heritage of the buidling in their materials whilst contrasting well with the colourful and eclectic South American theme of the restuarant area.
Christmas angel display for Evidencia Belverde Atitude Hotel, Lisboa
One of the more unusual jobs i had in 2015 was creating eight 3D angels in steel as the centrepiece of a Christmas installation at the Evidencia Belverde Atitude hotel near Lisbon. Varying in height between 2.5 and 3 metres, the angels were to be lit from inside and powder coated in gold and white.
They were fabricated from plasma cut thin sheet steel in sections and assembled on site. This menas that when dismantled they can be stored easily for reuse.
Display Modules for Verso Branco Design
I have created a series of 12 display modules of various sizes based on a 400mm x 400mm x 400mm cube made from 8m steel bar. The 4 diferente sized modules can be arranged in na infinate variety of permutations
Bota Sal Restaurant, Estrela, Lisbon
Latest Project: Have just completed creating some steel features for the new Bota Sal restaurant in Estrela, Lisbon. A new venture from the creator of the famed Sal Restaurant in Comporta, i was invited to contribute the external signage, an internal feature wall and front door handles, all with the flavour of the sea!
Trellis Project. Alentejo Portugal
Design, Fabrication and installation of a series of steel screens and trellises to support grapevines and foliage screens for a house and cabin for a private residence in Alentejo, Portugal
Screens/Trellis for a garden in Graça, Lisbon
In contrast to the more formal geometry employed in the design of the restaurant wall, i have started to produce a range of steel screens that can be adapted for use as internal dividers, garden trellises and screens or as artworks in their own right. Influenced by the artist Mondrian and mid 20th century abstract artists, these screens add a dynamic screen of changing perspectives and textures to their locations as can be seen here in screens installed in a garden in Graça, Lisbon
